Returning to Andalucía felt like coming home. None of those mixed feelings I had in Barcelona, this time around. I spent New Years Eve in stunning Granada, but I’m also going on hikes all around Sierra de las Nieves and heading back to Seville, the wonderful city I used to live in during my last year of university.
Despite a solid hangover on Sunday, I still managed to take 1000% better photos than the day before. There was cake in the morning, and there was some sightseeing, and a roast lunch too… and then I suffered a wine-induced late-onset implosion in the afternoon, just in time for our flight back. When it comes to heading up to the Scottish Highlands, I’m the kind of person who just gets in the car and sees where the road takes them. The Boy on the other hand is consistently fantastic at scouting out the best road trips ahead of time.
I survived the most of last week on ginger tea, ibuprofen and decongestants, so our weekend camping plans had to be postponed. But it’s not like us to give up completely! Especially not on the rare Scottish days when we’re graced with cloudless skies and stunning weather.
