Last week was a good one for surprise discoveries. It was also a very intense one at work, so all these wee pop/alt-cultural gems helped brighten and lighten the load. Few know that Jack Kerouac was a keen diarist. He kept journals most of his adult life, and over the years a lot of them were published too. I’m literally in mad love with every word in these diaries, more so than any of his novels.
