Camping trips in the Highlands are always a great source of excitement for me. I’m far from an authority on the topic, but I sure do know how to keep comfortable sleeping outdoors. You are much more likely to find the glam in glamping if you’re well prepared, and this means kitting out.
When it comes to heading up to the Scottish Highlands, I’m the kind of person who just gets in the car and sees where the road takes them. The Boy on the other hand is consistently fantastic at scouting out the best road trips ahead of time.
A bad cold would not deter us. I got over my cough as fast as I could and now the car is packed ready to head up-country! Stay tuned for windy single track roads, sheep in stark landscapes, gentle river valleys, shallow-pale sun-rays, mist and pouring rain. We’re going camping!
I survived the most of last week on ginger tea, ibuprofen and decongestants, so our weekend camping plans had to be postponed. But it’s not like us to give up completely!
